Zen Spa Series is growing. We have added more massage classes and have moved into our very own classroom. Look for small, live, and more frequent CE massage classes in beautiful Chattanooga, TN.

These introductory massage classes present Shiatsu techniques and concepts to the Swedish or Spa therapist. Shiatsu literally means finger pressure, yet Shiatsu incorporates far more than simply applying finger pressure to specific points. Shiatsu teaches us to slow down and examine our approach to massage.
We will learn and practice Mother/ Son touch technique, a Shiatsu technique communicating healing touch. Participants will be encouraged to deepen their connection using this way.
We will also review all the meridians, their associations, pressure points, and the many opportunities to incorporate Shiatsu into our routines. Abdominal massage, specific stretching, positioning options, and wellness pressure points are all included into the coursework. Participants can expect to determine the quality of their clients vitality by assessing the tone of the meridians and pressure points palpated. The addition of Shiatsu will allow the therapist to confidently upgrade their relaxation routine to a deep pressure, or specialized service.
Incorporating stones into massage invites additional elements and layers of healing potential for our clients. These massage classes review the basics of warm stones for relaxation, cool stones for therapy and various pressure techniques. We will explore equipment and stone options, as well as caring for your stones and the equipment you choose to use. This is a great class for beginners or to refresh techniques. Expect to gain confidence incorporating stones into your regular routine. Equipment and stones are provided for the class, no additional purchases necessary.
Offered only at exclusive spa resorts, tandem massage is a great way to treat your clients to more. Zen Tandem techniques empower you to offer your clients a 2 hour massage, in an hour. Tandem massage techniques are taught in easy to practice segments. We will discuss; how to schedule, pricing, and marketing this next level service. Therapists will demonstrate leading, following, and receiving this energetic service. Groups of 3 are required for these massage classes, the pricing is for 3 therapists.
